We have 8 ppl on DDP. When dining together will gratuity be added on or will we have to pay cash/credit? ALso, what day does DDP start, check in day or 1st full day? Thanks!!

Hi, Malinda!  Once you check-in and get your Key to the World card, you can begin using your Dining Credits.   The credits are good until midnight of your check-out day, or until your credits are used up, whichever comes first!

Assuming you are on the Base Disney Dining Plan, each member of your party age 3 and older will receive 1 Table Service credit, 1 Quick Service credit, and 1 Snack credit for each night of your stay.

Parties of 6 or more get an automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill at Table Service locations.  You can charge this back to your room on your Key to the World card, or pay cash, credit card, or use a Disney Gift Card.    If you are actually 2 families traveling together, let your server know when you are ordering how you want the check divided up so each family has the proper credits deducted from their account and each family can pay their own gratuities.

Wishing you a very magical WDW vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
