Had to postpone our Feb 2011 trip :( but am thinking about May 1 as a new date? Is this a busy time of year or not too bad? Thank you.

    Hello Christine,

It's too bad you had to postpone your trip next month. But I will admit, May is a great time of year to visit Disney World.

May 1 is right after the Easter holiday. Crowds will begin to thin out as families will be returning home to finish the school year. The weather is quite beautiful, with the average temperature during the day being in the mid-80 degrees Fahrenheit. And the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival will be in full bloom. I think the beginning of May is a perfect time to visit!

Hope this helps. Happy trip planning!
