Hello, I've just posted a question about what time a dinner reservation at California Grill - either 7.40pm or 9.20pm would be best to make the most of the fireworks. I should have added that they are on at 10pm the night we will be visiting. Many Thanks

Fay, so glad you wrote back as the time does change a few things when choosing your dinner reservation!
If you choose the 7:40pm slot that would give you ample time for a leisurely dinner without worrying about the Wishes show.  However, even though it will be at your pace it won't likely last almost 2 1/2 hours.  Disney service is good and you can slow it down but you are also there for the best meal possible.  You can still remain in the California Grill and wait outside on the private balcony area to watch the show from there. The timing would be very good to enjoy a dinner at a reasonable hour and then linger just a bit to watch Wishes from an optimum spot.

If you took the 9:20 time slot you would have dinner interrupted and unless you were lucky enough to snag a window table you would want to leave and watch outside.  If the servers have just put a hot plate in front of you this could prove stressful deciding which was more important...food or show!  This reservation time would also have you eating quite late and I know our family doesn't like to eat late and head to bed on full stomachs.  We have early alarms so we can hit the parks with 100% energy!

My vote...7:40pm. This gives you a nice dinner time, eat at your pace and note to server that you are not rushing.  When you are done maybe head to the lounge area for a after dinner drink and then catch a good spot early outside weather permitting. If not the windows from the lounge will work just as well.  Hope this helps....and any more questions just write back!
