We have the post fireworks dessert party booked for Magic Kingdon on 8/3. I know that they usually let you into the viewing area well ahead of the fireworks. How will the Starlight parade affect this?

Hi Alicia! Welcome back to planDisney!

I'm excited to hear about your upcoming trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! Before you know it, you'll be arriving for a magical stay filled with unforgettable experiences and lasting memories. Let's dive right into your question and help you get set for your stay.

Booking a Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party is the perfect add-on to end your park day. It allows you to secure a prime viewing area of this spectacular event while also adding some sweet treats to your night. With the Post-Party reservation, you are expected to arrive about 60 minutes before the start of the show. Shortly before it begins, Cast Members will direct you to the prime viewing area.

I don't anticipate the new nighttime parade coming to the Magic Kingdom to have any effect on this experience, although since it hasn't debuted yet, we do not know for sure. So far, times for Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away have only been released up to August 2nd. If Disney stays consistent with the parade times, there may be two happenings each night, one before and one after the Happily Ever After. Since the times are fairly spread out, Guests with Dessert Party reservations will most likely be partaking in the dessert portion of these Enchanting Extras while the parade is going by. Hopefully, this will give you the chance to catch the parade while waiting for the fireworks show to begin.

Alicia, I suggest checking back with us at planDisney once the new nighttime parade debuts and we get a better sense of exactly how it will fit into the existing experiences at the Magic Kingdom. I'm sure there will be some adjustments as a new event debuts, but I'm excited for this addition to finally make its way to the park.

Have a magical time during your stay! See ya real soon!
