Welcome to
Disney Parks Moms Panel, Debra!
You ask a great question!
My family visits
Walt Disney World Resort often, however, we don't always go on each trip as an entire family, either. Much like your family, we may have one or two of us who manage to take more than one trip in one year, while the others spread their visits out due to different schedules. Because of this, we often have only one or two in our party of four with an
Annual Pass. In fact, there have been a couple of occasions when my tween son was the only one visiting on an AP, yet we still used his AP to access any discounts we'd like to enjoy while touring. When utilizing any discounts, I keep my own photo ID with me, so that, if asked, I can show a Cast Member that we are eligible for them. Check out details of current benefits via this link to the
Walt Disney World Passholder Program. We love our Annual Passes!
If you are thinking of purchasing an Annual Pass for your son, consider doing so now through January 3rd, 2017. Guests who do so get a 13 month Annual Pass, instead of the usual 12, and that pass does not become activated until your son's first visit to a WDW park. What a great deal! I just upgraded my own 5-day park ticket to 13 months of fun, saving so much money than if I had purchased two sets of tickets. You'll love this option!
