Is it possible to make it to Chef Mickey at the Contemporary from Port Orleans Riverside for a 7:05am reservation using Walt Disney transportation. We will be coming down in November 2014. Any recommendations to celebrate a little princess' 5th birthday?

    Hi Jennifer,

It sounds like you are planning a very special vacation to Walt Disney World to celebrate your little one's 5th birthday!

Walt Disney World resorts often run special early morning buses to get guests to early character breakfast reservations. I suggest that you check with a cast member in the lobby of your resort the day before your breakfast reservation to determine if this is a possibility for you, and if so, when you would need to meet the bus. This is a great option; however, you should know that sometimes you might need to get to this bus significantly earlier than your reservation. Another option for you would be to take a taxi. You can simply ask a cast member in the lobby of your resort to call a taxi for you if there is not one there. Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and Disney's Contemporary Resort are not too far away from each other geographically, so I imagine that it would be a short taxi ride and should cost you under $20.

As for celebrating your princess's 5th birthday, I would start by picking up a "Happy Birthday" button, available free of charge at Guest Relations at any of the Disney theme parks. It is so much fun to hear cast members and other guests alike wishing your little one a happy birthday throughout the day. Also, you never know when a little extra pixie dust might be sprinkled on her day. My daughter received an amazing, huge cupcake which lit up her eyes when we were dining at The Plaza Restaurant and she was wearing a Happy Birthday button. Likewise, be sure to note this celebration on any dining or resort reservations you have at Walt Disney World. Neither the birthday button nor noting celebrations guarantee any special treatment, so do not expect them, and then they are even more magical if they do occur!

I would love to help you plan more Jennifer; however, I am limited in the amount of space that I have to answer. Please do write back if you have any further questions.
