Is it possible to watch Illuminations at Epcot at 9:00, hop on the monorail and get to Magic Kingdom in time to see Wishes at 10:00? Where is there usually still space to watch Wishes if you arrive close to 10:00?

    Hi Kelly,

While I admire the ambitious nature of your idea, I'm not sure it is realistic. IllumiNations lasts about 12 minutes, and then you will need time to exit the park and board the monorail. The monorail ride from Epcot to the Transportation and Ticket Center takes about 10 minutes. From there, you would need to transfer to the Magic Kingdom monorail, then get through the security check and into the park.

If you have to wait more than a minute or two at any point in that chain, you won't make it.

If you really want to see Wishes right after IllumiNations, I think the best way to do that would be to take the monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center and then walk to the ferry dock. The music is piped in there, and it's a good view of Wishes.  Plus, realistically, I think you could get to the dock in time for the fireworks show.

A lot of it is going to depend on how quickly you can get onto the monorail at Epcot.

I hope that helps. Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Please let us know if we can do anything else to help.
