Is it possible to watch the DL fireworks and then briskly walk into DCA before it closes to watch World of Color? We'll be watching the fireworks in front of the castle at 9:30.

Hi Rosemary, welcome back to planDisney!

I'm thrilled to get the opportunity to help you with another question! And you chose a topic I'm super excited about! The Disneyland Forever Fireworks at Disneyland Park and World of Color at Disney California Adventure Park are all returning on April 22, 2022, and there is a ton of anticipation for this!

When World of Color returns, it was recently announced that a virtual queue system will be available through the Disneyland Mobile App to help Guests view this show. Distribution times for the virtual queue enrollment will begin at noon daily. If you can secure a virtual queue selection, you will receive a notification from the Disneyland Mobile App to enter one of the designated viewing areas approximately 45 minutes before the show begins. If the virtual queue reaches max capacity though, you can visit the Paradise Bay viewing area shortly before the show begins to check in with a Cast Member for walk-up viewing options.

Now since you will be watching the Disneyland Forever Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle, that means you will have a very short amount of time to walk from Disneyland Park all the way into Disney California Adventure Park to catch the 10:15 p.m. showing of World of Color. Also, as you will be in front of the castle, there will be large crowds of people surrounding you. This may cause your walk to Disney California Adventure Park to take longer than if you were to watch the fireworks from Main Street, U.S.A. My opinion is that if you leave immediately after the fireworks end, you should be able to arrive at Disney California Adventure during the beginning of World of Color. HOWEVER, you most likely will not be able to obtain a good viewing spot for the show due to the late arrival. You will have to see where the Cast Members direct you to once you arrive. Also, please know that unlike fireworks which are very high in the sky, the World of Color show uses lasers projecting across the jets of water shooting in the air. So, where you are standing and/or sitting really does impact how much of the show you can actually see.

If you are planning to have a multiple-day visit to the Disneyland Resort, my recommendation would be to dedicate one evening to watch the Disneyland Forever Fireworks, and another evening dedicated to watching World of Color.

I hope you have the most magical time!

    See ya real soon!
