Is it possible to walk from the Wilderness Lodge to the Fort Wilderness campfire for the evening with Chip and Dale? How long would that take?

    Howdy, Jeanne!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for galloping over with a fantastic Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. Your trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth is just around the river bend - are you counting down the minutes!? Before you saddle up for your magical vacation, let's chat about transportation options between Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and Disney's Wilderness Lodge.

Jeanne, I'm thrilled to hear you'll be spending time at these two incredible Disney Resort hotels. Disney's Wilderness Lodge is one of my family's favorite Deluxe Resort hotels, allowing Guests to escape to a tranquil rustic retreat, whereas visiting Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground makes for a rootin' tootin' good time! While these properties are located near one another on the shores of Bay Lake, Guests are not currently able to walk between them. However, I'm happy to inform you that a complimentary internal shuttle is available to quickly transport Guests between these locations throughout the day! Alternatively, you could hop aboard a water taxi for a calming cruise over to Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground (weather permitting). With either option, I'd allow approximately one hour to reach your final destination.

Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long is sure to put a smile on your face, Jeanne. This exciting event takes place each evening (weather permitting) near the Meadow Recreation Area at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, which is located near the "middle" of the campground. An internal bus shuttle traverses the campground throughout the day, so you can board the bus at the Settlement Depot Bus Stop near Pioneer Hall and enjoy a short ride to the bus stop near the campfire activities. Be sure to come hungry for toasty marshmallows and ready to chime in and sing along!

Jeanne, I hope this information helps your clan of cowpokes prepare for an exciting evening at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. If you have any more questions before or during your stay, you're always welcome to mosey on over to planDisney again! We're here to help you make the most of your time at The Most Magical Place on Earth.

    Happy trails to you,

    Lauren
