Hi, Michael!
This sounds like it might be your first visit to Walt Disney World, so welcome! You are in for a magical vacation. You might be a bit surprised upon arrival on the sheer size of the entire Walt Disney World Resort, so planning ahead for your transportation is a great idea. To get around you will use
complimentary transportation including boats,
buses,
monorails, and occasionally can walk. Chat with your Lobby Concierge or Cast Members for transportation routes.
To get to Disney's Contemporary Resort from Epcot, hop on the monorail outside the main gates of Epcot. The monorail will zoom you to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Exit and switch to the Resort Monorail, then exit at the 4th stop, which will be the Contemporary. Plan for about 45-50 minutes for this commute.
Getting to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort from Disney's Hollywood Studios is easier! Head to the bus depot outside the main gates of Hollywood Studios and hop on a bus going to the Polynesian (signs posted with bus stop numbers or ask a friendly Cast Member). This commute will take about 20 minutes (plus any wait time for the bus). When waiting for buses, allow plenty of time. Your wait should never be more than about 20 minutes, but plan accordingly especially if you are heading for a dining reservation.
It really is much easier than it sounds. Transportation is clearly marked, and Cast Members will be happy to assist you. My best advice is to allow plenty of time. You are on vacation, so no rushing! Sit back, relax, and let the wonderful Monorail Pilots, Boat Captains, and Bus Drivers shuttle you around. Enjoy!
