Hiya Cindy! Welcome to planDisney! Let the countdown begin! Less than two months away until you are at the Walt Disney World Resort and set to make magical Disney memories!
Since
Chef Mickey's has reopened, it has continued to be one of the most sought-after reservations to get. Both breakfast and dinner are popular and for great reasons. The all-you-care-to-eat, family-style meal has delicious food options for the entire family to enjoy! Seeing Mickey, Minnie, and the rest of the group dressed in their culinary attire is perfect to snap some photos.
Chef Mickey's does offer a walk-up list at times for Guests trying to dine the day of. There is no guarantee that the walk-up list will be available but you can check the
My Disney Experience App to see if it is. You do not need to be staying in a Disney Resort to try and grab a spot here. As long as you can get to the restaurant using
Disney Transportation or with a ride-share, you can try to grab a spot on the list when you are close enough to the location.
If you are driving yourself, it is possible that you are not allowed to park directly at the resort without an
Advanced Dining Reservation. If this is the case, you can pay to park at the Ticket and Transportation Center and take the resort monorail to Disney's Contemporary Resort. Once there, hop on the My Disney Experience App and try and secure a spot on the walk-up list.
Since your visit is still a couple of months away, I would not stress too much about not getting a reservation just yet. I would continue checking the app for openings periodically throughout the day. Also, many Guests end up canceling their reservation 24-48 hours in advance. Make sure to continue checking even up to the day of.
Cindy, I hope this information helps you plan for your upcoming visit! I hope some pixie dust flies your way and you are dining at Chef Mickey's soon enough!
See ya real soon!
Greg
