Hi there, Carol! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm so excited to hear that you'll be spending
Christmas at Walt Disney World Resort! I cannot think of anything more magical, and I'm certain you and your family will make some core memories during this visit!
I'm glad to hear that you're considering booking a
character dining experience during your
Walt Disney World Resort visit. Character dining is the perfect way to make the most of your vacation time because it allows you to visit with some of your favorite Disney friends while enjoying a delicious meal. Character dining experiences can be found at all four Walt Disney World theme parks, as well as at some of the
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels.
Most of the
Disney Princesses appear at the character meals at the theme parks. However, there is one resort hotel character dining experience that I think would be perfect for your family.
Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White takes place in a gorgeous, rustic setting at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Since this restaurant is located at one of the resort hotels, you will not need
theme park admission to dine here.
My family and I have enjoyed Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White on multiple occasions, and it is one of our favorite character dining experiences. The atmosphere at Disney's Wilderness Lodge is perfect, especially when the resort is decorated for Christmas. The food at Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White is amazing and presented in beautiful, inventive ways. While the setting and food at this dining experience are top-notch, the characters are the true stars of the show.
Character appearances are always subject to change, but typically, Snow White, Dopey, and Grumpy all greet Guests at their tables throughout the meal. Then at the end of your dinner, you will be summoned by The Queen to
pose for a photo with her if you wish. The dwarfs and the Disney villains rarely appear in the theme parks outside of certain special events, so this character dining experience is quite unique.
Dining reservations are highly recommended for all table service and character meals, especially during a busy time like the week of Christmas. Dining reservations can be made 60 days in advance. If you'll be staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, you can make your dining reservations for your entire trip (up to 10 days) 60 days before your arrival date.
If you have any other questions as you're getting ready for your trip, please don't hesitate to ask. Wishing you a happy holiday season and a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
