Hey there, hi there, ho there, Debra! You're as welcome as can be, to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
One of the most amazing things about the Disneyland Resort is that not only are there two fantastic theme parks, each with their own unique and exciting entertainment and attractions, but that Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are situated less than a football field length apart from each other. That lends itself so well to conveniently hopping between the two parks. Fortunately, in most cases, yes, if you have tickets that permit admission to only one park per day, you are able to upgrade them to Park Hopper tickets. Typically tickets that are not permitted to be upgraded will have printed on them some form of "not upgradeable" restriction. For all other tickets, simply take them to the Disneyland Resort Main Entrance ticket booths for processing. There, you can upgrade your park tickets to another ticket that is of equal or greater value.
Did you know that if you add
Disney MaxPass to your Park Hopper tickets, you can make
Disney FASTPASS reservations for either park, even if you have only entered one of the parks to begin with? Just select the other park when requesting a FASTPASS within the Disneyland app. Another convenience of the app is being able to make
mobile food and beverage orders for select quick service dining locations in either parks. And dining reservations at table service restaurants can be made and managed in the app as well. These are all great features to help save you time while on your vacation at the Disneyland Resort.
Have a magical time, Debra!
