Is it possible to take an Uber to the parks? Our resort charges $10 per person each way for the shuttle and we are trying to keep our transportation costs as low as possible for 4 adults and 2 small children. Thanks.

    Hi Erin!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Yes, you may travel to the theme parks by whichever method you choose, and if Uber is working out more cost-effective for your family, then it makes sense to use them.  It is absolutely possible for anyone to drop off and pick up Guests at all the Walt Disney World theme parks, without having to park and be charged for parking.  Just ask your driver to head to the park entrance (as if you were going to the parking lots) but ask them to advise the Cast Member on the gate that you are being dropped off.  They will direct you to a special drop-off/pick-up zone close to the park entrance.  This applies for Guests visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Disney's Animal Kingdom Park.  When visiting the water parks - Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach - you would just advise a parking attendant that you are being dropped off, and they will direct you to where to drop off.  The only difference is when you are visiting Magic Kingdom Park.  All cars (with the exception of the Minnie Van Service) are required to drop off/collect passengers at the Transportation and Ticket Center, where park guests will then take the Ferryboat or the Monorail to the entrance of Magic Kingdom Park.  It is worth noting that for all Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel,  complimentary Disney Transportation is available to take you directly from the Resort hotels to the theme parks - boats, buses and monorails (and the new Disney Skyliner from the end of September!) depending on each Resort hotel's location - and if you are visiting Magic Kingdom Park, they will take you right up to the entrance of the park.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World, and keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official news and updates on events that may be happening during your stay.
