Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Parker. I am just squealing with excitement to hear you're planning on visiting the
Walt Disney World Resort with a baby in tow! Your 6-month old won't remember this first visit, but you sure will!
I'm happy to tell you that all the
family-friendly attractions in the theme parks can comfortably accommodate two adults and an infant. These attractions do not feature height requirements, and they appeal to Guests of all ages. When my kids were babies, we usually held them on our laps or sat them down on the seat and put one arm behind them and the other arm around their belly. Your heart will just melt as you watch your little one's eyes light up as you experience the magic of Disney storytelling together!
My babies always most enjoyed attractions with gentle, easy tracks like
Peter Pan's Flight,
Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid, and
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. They also loved boat-ride attractions like
"it's a small world." Don't hesitate to ride "dark attractions" like
Haunted Mansion and
Pirates of the Caribbean when you're in
Magic Kingdom Park. We found that our babies weren't frightened of these attractions because they were much too little to have a frame of reference that would scare them!
Be sure to stop by the
Baby Care Center in each of the four theme parks. It's the perfect place to take your baby for a quiet feeding or diaper change! Each Baby Care Center has a changing room, private nursing room, kitchenette, and an onsite shop with infant essentials like formula, diapers, and baby food. We once ran out of diapers during a day at Magic Kingdom Park, and boy were we glad we could buy more at the Baby Care Center!
Thanks for stopping by, Parker. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
