Hello Sandy!
Welcome to planDisney! It's nice to meet you. A last-minute visit to the parks is always a fun idea, but sometimes it can be a little tricky. I'm happy to help!
Guests currently need both a
valid theme park ticket and a
theme park reservation to visit the parks at the Disneyland Resort. While there are ticket booths outside of the parks, they use the same theme park reservation system as the Disneyland website. So if tickets are not available online for the day you want then they should not be available to purchase in person either. I'm sorry if this puts a plot twist in your day! The best thing to do is check the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar online and purchase tickets for the day you want to visit before you head for the parks. That way you won't have any villainous surprises when you get there.
I know it can be frustrating to plan in advance when you may live close to the parks. But looking at the reservation calendar for this month, there are open reservations for at least one park each day for the rest of the month right now! Hopefully you can pick a day and purchase tickets so that you have a park reservation and are good to go.
Did you know that the
Lunar New Year celebrations are just a few days away, Sandy? It's one of my favorite festivals! I love all the colors, art, music, and characters that will be joining us in the parks to celebrate the Year of the Dragon. I bet Mushu is particularly excited this year! There will even be a special Lunar New Year addition to
World of Color - ONE during this celebration. I hope you'll be able to visit soon!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
