Hi Joy! Disney and Amazon are two of my favorite words! I love them both and they can easily go hand in hand.
We have often shipped from Amazon directly to a Disney resort. There are a few things to consider before doing this and following the Disney guidelines is very important so you will be sure to receive the package when you arrive.
Recently, Disney has instigated a $5 charge for all packages mailed to guests at the resorts. This used to be only for the convention resorts but it is now for almost every resort on property so expect to have this done. You can check the guidelines for shipping at the
Mail Services page on the website.
My advice is to make sure you do not ship anything too far in advance. I try to have things shipped within a week but not longer then a week before our arrival. When you put an address on the package for you to ship or a place like Amazon to ship from it is important you put your resort name and then the guest's name that the reservation is under. Please also state it as such: GUEST-and then your name. Also underneath that state your arrival date and then finally the street address of the resort.
When you check-in all packages are held at the front desk area so let the cast member know you have something waiting for you. It should be on your record but make sure they are seeing that. They can have bell services bring your packages to your room once you are settled in. Nothing can be delivered to your room ahead of time as room assignments can change up to the last minute.
Delivering to your resort ahead of time is such a great convenience. We have done this when traveling with babies and had diapers and food shipped so we did not have that to worry about in the luggage. Have a magical vacation!
