Is it possible to use a Table Service credit for a Quick Service restaurant? We booked our stay with the free Disney Dining Plan, and we’d prefer not to spend too much time in sit-down restaurants. Instead, we were hoping to use the credit at Quick Service

Greetings, Michael, and welcome to planDisney! The Disney Dining Plan is a great way to make planning for meals and snacks easy and convenient. I love rolling up to the restaurant, ordering a delicious dish, scanning my MagicBand+, and moving on with my park or resort day. It's one less thing to think about since all the meals are squared away ahead of time, just make sure to secure those dining reservations 60 days in advance! I'm happy to share details about meal credit entitlements and how they can be used on the Dining Plan.

Each person in your party age 3 and up will receive the following for each night of their stay:
    • 1 Quick Service Meal
    • 1 Table Service Meal
    • 1 Non-Alcoholic (All Guests)/Alcoholic Drink (Guests age 21+) per Meal
    • 1 Selected Snack or Drink
    • a Resort-Refillable mug
Guests used to be able to convert Quick Service credits to snacks, but this is no longer allowed under the terms and conditions of the Dining Plan. Also, Table and Quick Service credits can't be split, combined, or exchanged for other types of meals. It appears there is a Quick Service Dining Plan available, and this option would replace the Table Service credit with a Quick Service credit. It might be worth calling to see if your booking will allow you to switch to this plan since it's more aligned with your dining preferences for this upcoming visit.

If you do end up staying on the Disney Dining Plan and keeping those Table Service credits, I do have some suggestions for table service restaurants where I have received speedy service in the past. You'll want to choose restaurants that have set portions instead of buffets, and you'll likely want to choose traditional dining experiences over restaurants that offer character dining. Here are a few of my top choices for table service dining that can be a little bit quicker:
I hope you find some quality table service restaurants to enjoy on your upcoming trip, Michael! If you're unable to switch to the Quick Service Dining Plan, you may find that taking some time for a table service meal provides a nice moment to relax, reset, and recharge for the rest of your park or resort day. Meet me back here at planDisney if there are more tips or recommendations I can provide for you.

    Stay magical,
    Scott
