Hello! I have a possible silly question, my boyfriend and I are staying at the Disneyland Hotel for the first time ever! I read somewhere that they don’t do deposits but a service holding charge? How much that be? Does it depend on how many days we spend?

Hiya, Janelle, and welcome to planDisney!

You’ve come to the right place because silly questions do not exist here. I recently stayed at the Disneyland Hotel for the first time with my planDisney pals, and I assure you — you’re going to love it! I’ll be happy to help clarify this for you.

When you check in at the Disneyland Hotel, a one-time $250 fee will be placed as a hold on your credit card. This hold is placed once for the duration of your stay and is not based on the number of nights you’re staying. If no incidental charges are made during your stay, the hold will be released after checkout. Please keep in mind that it may take a few business days for the hold to be released.

Bonus Tip: If you can fit it into your schedule, set aside a day to enjoy the hotel's recreation options and amenities! Spending time at the pool deck will make you feel like you’ve been transported to an island. The lounge chairs are free to use, and you can enjoy some snacks and drinks from Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill while you’re chilling poolside!

Janelle, I hope this information is helpful and that you have the most magical stay at the Disneyland Hotel. If you’re looking for more advice as you plan your vacation, please come back and see us again here at planDisney!

Sending you faith, trust, and pixie dust,
