Hiya Andrea,
Welcome to planDisney! Now that I'm a mom of two, I swear it looks like we are moving to live in our Walt Disney World resort hotel every time we visit. Between car seats, luggage, strollers, and extras, we certainly don't travel light anymore. I've often contemplated either shipping items in advance or using Owner's Locker to store stuff since we visit so frequently, but each time we end up figuring out that it wouldn't be cost-effective for us.
That said, here's what I know, Andrea. Guests can
mail packages to themselves as long as they arrive no sooner than one week before their check-in date. That is the maximum amount of time that
Bell Services can hold your package. I did some digging and have seen that people have shipped packages containing luggage, clothes, diapers, etc., in advance of their trip (I've sent diapers ahead before to save space, for example). You will be charged a handling fee per package to your room, so be prepared for this (the price is subject to change, but during my recent trip, it was under $10 per package).
Regarding a return trip, you can also send packages home from the Front Desk at most resort hotels, provided they are pre-packed and pre-labeled. However, you will still need to pay shipping and handling fees. Again, not every resort can accommodate this, so one backup plan you should consider is a luggage shipping service or using a rideshare service to a UPS or FedEx location.
I hope this was helpful, Andrea. If you decide to ship your luggage to Pop Century, ensure that the box is appropriately addressed so it arrives safely. Any package shipped should be sent to the lead Guest on the reservation (make sure to include the word "Guest" before their name). The package should also include the name of the resort, "
Disney's Pop Century Resort," and the complete mailing address, "1050 Century Drive, Lake Buena Vista, Florida, 32830-8433." If there is space, I suggest adding your arrival date so that Cast Members can more easily match the package to your reservation. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
