Hello, is it possible to do a round-trip tram ride from downtown Disney and back without getting off the tram? I miss the tram from when I was little and the parking lot was right out front of Disneyland,.Thanks.

Welcome back to planDisney, Marilyn. I'm glad you've stopped by, and I'm happy to reminisce with you about the Disneyland parking lot tram of old.

Like you, I also fondly remember when Disneyland parking was right out front of Disneyland Park. I'm smiling from thinking about those wonderful memories, and I understand why you'd want to make this round trip on the tram. Fortunately, there should be no issue with you riding to and from the Mickey and Friends and Pixar parking structures round-trip on the tram. My husband and I have forgotten something in the car a time or two and needed to make this round-trip journey. You might want to mention your intention to a Cast Member before embarking at Downtown Disney and ask if you'll need to disembark before getting back on the tram. There is a security screening area at the parking structures, and if it's necessary to disembark there, you would have to go through the screening process again. Just something to keep in mind!

Marilyn, it looks like your visit coincides with the Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration. How exciting! There are a lot of exciting things happening this summer, so be sure to check out the event guide on the Disney Parks Blog. I'm excited about the new “World of Color Happiness!” at Disney California Adventure Park. It's got some new and nostalgic nods to Disney's past that I think all guests will enjoy.

I hope this information helps, Marilyn. Please visit us again with any other questions!

    See ya real soon,
    Melissa
