Is it possible to get a rollaway bed at a moderate resort? DD (14) and DD(9) will not share a bed. Also, is there a cost? It is just a quick trip this time. Trying to keep it in budget. Thanks.

    Hi Deborah,

Unfortunately the practice of providing rollaway beds no longer occurs at the Disney Resort hotels. In the Moderate Resort category there are some rooms which sleep 5, thereby giving you another bed for your children. First at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside you will notice there are some rooms which are designated as sleeping 5. The rooms which accommodate 5 have 2 queen beds and 1 bunk style pull down bed. Likewise there are some newly refurbished rooms at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort hotel which also have 2 queen beds and 1 bunk style pull down bed for sleeping 5 Guests. Finally another option for sleeping 5 in the Moderate category is to book a Cabin at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. The Cabins are more expensive than a standard room but may be able to save you money because they come equipped with a full kitchen.

Please note that since you will be booking a room for 4 Guests, you are not guaranteed a room which sleeps 5 unless you specifically book a room category in which all the rooms sleep 5, such as the Cabin at Fort Wilderness (which actually sleeps up to 6 Guests). However to increase your odds of being placed in a room which sleeps 5 it is a good idea to call and have your request noted on your reservation.

I hope this information helps you with your vacation planning, please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Blessings,
