Is it possible to reserve areas at the drop off pool at AOA? My husbands birthday is the day we arrive & I'm trying to plan something laid back to celebrate. Fighting for chairs would be stressful IMO! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thx

While a select few of Disney's deluxe resorts do offer poolside cabanas on a rental basis, there are no such accommodations available at any of the value resorts, Art of Animation included.  As an alternative, you might consider visiting one of the water parks.  Both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon offer reserved accommodations for guests.  At Blizzard Beach, you can get a Polar Patio, while at Typhoon Lagoon, you can rent a Beachcomber Shack.  Both will get you your own private space with cushioned furniture, all-day drink mugs, a personal locker, an attendant, towels, and a cooler with ice and bottled water.  To inquire about pricing and availability, call 407-WDW-PLAY.  It might just be the perfect way to celebrate your husband's birthday!

Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists.
