Is it possible to make reservations for the character dining with a credit card prior to booking a vacation package, but then apply the dining plan at a later time?

    Hi, Brandi!

Absolutely! You can make a dining reservation without a resort reservation or package, using your credit card, if necessary, to hold your reservation. When you later book your vacation package, you'll already have your dining reservations; when you head to the restaurant to dine, simply tell your server that you are on the Dining Plan. That credit card hold is used in case you fail to cancel your reservation at least 24 hours in advance.

We do this frequently so that we can take advantage of the 180 window to book dining reservations, but we're not quite ready to be charged for the entire Dining Plan. We'll add the Dining Plan no later than 48 hours prior to arrival, although we try to do so a bit earlier, just in case.

Hope this helps!  Please send more questions as you think of them! I'd love to help!
