    Is it possible to register our 16 year olds for Vibe before we board the Dream for our Oct. 2018 cruise?

    Hi there, Jimmy!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  Your vacation is fast approaching and before you know it you will be onboard and well on your way to making some wonderful memories!

    All of the onboard Youth Clubs are so great!  My boys are still young, but we have thoroughly enjoyed the “it’s a small nursery”! when they were younger and now they LOVE spending time in the Oceaneer Club and Lab!  But they certainly talk about “when they are big kids” and can “visit the big kid clubs” …so I know they will love Edge and Vibe when their time comes!  I'm sure it will be no different for your “big kids” …the activities scheduled in Vibe look like so much fun and many times I want to be young again to play too!  And I always like seeing the kids run around with new friends that they meet onboard; they are always having a great time.

    Since I am not a parent of a Vibe aged child, I checked with Disney Cruise Line to ensure I had all the information for you and found out that you cannot pre-register children over the age of twelve for the onboard Youth Clubs prior to your sail date.  Basically, once you embark you can simply walk them there and make sure they are where they should be and that’s it!  They can come and go as they please during Vibe’s open hours (which tend to go late into the night in true teenager fashion!!).  I do recommend that if they have smart phones you make sure they have the Navigator app downloaded to their devices so they have access to the schedule of activities in Vibe – and more importantly so that you can keep up with them via the app’s chat feature!
