Hi Katherine,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. As my pal Mickey would say, “oh boy,” do I love the
Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. Between the delicious food and drinks (looking at you, violet lemonade), gorgeous topiaries, and fun entertainment, it’s pure Disney magic.
I visited the festival earlier this spring, and felt that it was my duty, in the name of resEARch, to test the very strategy you’re describing. I’m happy to report that you can indeed redeem three snack entitlements in the place of one Quick-Service entitlement at the food booths. A word of friendly advice, though: the
2018 Disney Dining Plan includes expanded beverage options, allowing you to order specialty beverages (including alcoholic beverages for Guests aged 21 and older) with your Quick-Service and Table-Service entitlements. If you’re looking to maximize your Disney Dining Plan, take a look at the value of the three snacks and see if they would equal a Quick-Service entree plus a specialty beverage. In some cases, that didn’t really matter to my family and we enjoyed having the flexibility; plus, the snacks are a great way to enjoy a variety of options without getting too full. Please note that you must order all three snacks at the same food booth in order for them to be charged as a Quick-Service entitlement; be sure to let the Cast Member who is serving you know that you would like to charge it in this way, and he or she will help you figure out exactly what your options are.
Katherine, enjoy Epcot’s International Flower & Garden festival and happy snacking!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
