Hi Cheryl! Welcome to planDisney!
I am happy to hear that you are thinking about
visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this summer! There is so much happening around the Most Magical Place on Earth as the phased reopening continues and preparations for the
Walt Disney World Resort 50th anniversary celebration begin.
In the past, I would encourage you to put a few quick plans in place, pack your bags, and head to Florida for a last-minute vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort, but currently, there are a few things you want to check before diving into your trip. If you are set on visiting the theme parks, the most important thing to do is to view your dates on the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar to see if any reservations are available because valid
Walt Disney World theme park tickets AND
Disney Park Pass reservations are both required for visiting the theme parks at the moment. Looking at the week following the date you entered as your arrival date, I don't see any reservations. That can certainly change, though, so I recommend you keep checking!
If you are okay with a non-theme park visit, you can definitely check
Disney Resorts Collection hotel availability and enjoy the amenities at your resort, days at
Disney Springs, the many golf courses,
Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf, and
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. There is a LOT to do outside of the theme parks!
Depending on which one of these sounds like what you are hoping for, you can either head down now for some non-theme park fun, or plan a little more in the future when the theme parks have availability for your traveling party. Either way, I know you will have a wonderful time!
I hope this helps, Cheryl! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
