Is it possible to plan a trip for March 2026 now? I would like to plan out every detail but it will not let me select dates past January

Hello, Amanda, and welcome to planDisney!

I'm right there with you—planning every detail of a trip to Walt Disney World is almost as magical as that first Mickey Bar! So let's dive in and get you ready for an unforgettable adventure.

Based on past release dates, it’s likely that your March dates will open up for booking by mid-to-late spring. However, in some years, they've become available as late as early summer. Your best bet is to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for the latest announcements.

But don't wait to start planning the fun stuff! The more decisions you make now, the smoother things will go when it's time to book. Here’s how I like to break it down, its as easy as 1, 2, 3!

    1. Nights and Resorts: First, decide how many nights you’ll stay. Then, it's time to pick a resort. Start with your budget and choose between Deluxe, Moderate, or Value resorts. You really can’t go wrong as every resort brings its own kind of magic!

    2. Tickets: Next up, tickets! Think about what your family wants to do most. If you’re like us and love a splash of adventure, consider adding a water park day. And if you want the freedom to hop between parks, the Park Hopper Plus Option is a fantastic choice.

    3. Dining Plans: Now, let's talk food! Adding a dining plan can make budgeting easier and help you plan out your days. If it’s your first visit, I’d recommend the Disney Dining Plan—it includes a table-service meal each day, which gives the whole family some downtime, delicious food, and even the chance for a Character Dining experience with some awesome photo ops! Our personal favorite is Tusker House Restaurant.

Once you've made these key decisions, you’ll be more than ready when your dates open up. Just a few clicks and you’ll have those magical wheels in motion!

I hope these tips help you get started, and if you have more questions, you know where to find us. We love to help make your Disney dreams come true!

    See ya real soon!
