Is it possible for 2 people to split one table service meal? We have the DDP, but at some of the restaurants we are afraid it may be to much food for our girls. So can they split 1 and save the other credit for another meal?

    Hi Michelle!

Thanks for sending your questions to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Good choice on selecting the Disney Dining Plan! I personally love being able to plan and budget for my meals. I think you are going to love it too!

The answer to your question depends on where you go to eat. If the restaurant strictly offers buffet style meals (like The Crystal Palace) or serves family style meals (like 'Ohana) or is prix fixe (like Be Our Guest Restaurant or Cinderella's Royal Table), then you will be charged per person, (whether you decide to use table service credits or pay out of pocket). Restaurants that have full menus will allow sharing of plates (unless otherwise noted). This past year, my family and I visited for a long weekend and utilized the Disney Dining Plan. My daughter doesn't eat a full meal so when we dined at Sanaa, Le Cellier Steakhouse and Yak & Yeti restaurants, we shared an entree. Also keep in mind that you can also order items off of the menu and pay for those items out of pocket. In some restaurants, I have ordered a side of mac and cheese or an appetizer for my daughter just so that I can save a table service credit. I would recommend that you speak to your server before your order so that you can get the most out of your Disney Dining Plan.

    Quick Tip
: Be sure to download the My Disney Experience App on your smart phone before your trip! Here you will be able to see wait times, book and manage your Fast Pass+ selections as well as your dining reservations among other things!

Hope this helps! It has been a pleasure assisting you Michelle. Please feel free to send me any other questions you may have!
