Welcome to planDisney, William!
The first word that comes to mind after hearing you will be cruising with Captain Mickey is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! “Anything can happen if you let it” during your Disney cruise, so get ready for a MAGICal experience from start to finish!
Here’s a “spoonful of sugar”: yes, you can absolutely use a Visa debit card to pay the deposit for your Disney cruise as well as any other partial payments and your
final payment in full. So as Mary Poppins would say, “Spit spot” and go ahead with that payment. FYI: Disney Cruise Line accepts these
methods of payment: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card, Diners Club International, Japanese Credit Bureau, or the Disney Visa Card.
Having a card on file also makes it easier to charge incidentals during your sailing. Then all you have to do during your adventure at sea is charge to your Key to the World card. This trusty ID card also functions as a charge card on which all your onboard charges can be placed. At the end of your cruise, your account will be settled with the payment method you established during Online Check-In. Balances can also be paid with cash, credit card, American Express Travelers Cheques in U.S. denominations, and Disney Dollars at the
Guest Services Desk (Deck 3, Midship).
A planDisney tip: before your cruise, be sure to contact your credit/debit card company to tell them you will be traveling out of the country so that they will not place a hold on your card.
William, planDisney is at your service and ready to be in CHARGE of your Disney cruise planning questions. We’ve more than happy to SPEND time chatting about Disney Cruise Line-it’s our favorite subject!
Happy Sailing!
