Hey Kate! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.
I just stayed at
Disney's Beach Club Resort last week and our first stop when we arrived was
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. It's a great lunch spot. We didn't have reservations but they were able to squeeze us in. After a great lunch of grilled cheese and tomato soup, my favorite thing on their menu, I had no room from the Monstrous Milkshakes that day that I had been seeing all over the internet. But of course, later in the week my daughter and her friend were begging for a sweet treat from the to-go side while we were at the pool and of course I obliged. While the Monstrous Milkshakes aren't on any written menu, I think you'll be happy to know that you can absolutely order them to go and we did! My husband indulged in the chocolate brownie shake which is only for extreme chocolate lovers. He thought it was delicious. This is a chocolate shake that has chocolate syrup drizzled all over the inside of the cup and the rim is dipped in chocolate and then again in chocolate covered sprinkles. Then it's topped with a large chocolate brownie triangle and garnished with some chocolate curls and served up in a souvenir cup. Wow! I treated myself to the Strawberry Minnie Shake, which is anything but mini. This is a strawberry shake with strawberry sauce drizzled on the inside and rainbow sprinkles on the outside, topped with a full size Minnie Mouse inspired chocolate cupcake with strawberry frosting served up in a souvenir cup. It's really like two desserts in one. I thought it was absolutely delicious. These specialty shakes do take a little more time to prepare so keep that in mind when ordering, even from the to-go side. But the wait is worth it.
I hope you get to enjoy one of these milkshakes on your next
Walt Disney World vacation. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask.
