Howdy Lauren!
Welcome to planDisney. My wife and her bestie started their
runDisney journey last year and are having an amazing time dressing up, running, and taking pictures with the characters during the race. I’m a spectator like you, and I know how much it means to my loved ones to be there at the finish line to cheer them on, so let's lace up our running shoes and get to your answer.
I reached out to my fellow panelists,
Sean,
Oliver, and
Corey, who will all be running this weekend, to help get your answer. The great news is that, according to the marathon weekend
race guide, the monorail to Epcot from the Magic Kingdom will begin running at 2:30 am. Once your husband gives you the link to track his race progress, you will be able to estimate when he will cross the finish line. As you may know, the monorail from the Magic Kingdom stops at the Transportation and Ticketing Center, where you will make the switch to the Epcot monorail. Since there will be quite a few runners and non-race guests moving between the parks via the monorail that day, I would be sure to give yourself a little extra time making your way over to Epcot.
We’re almost to our finish line, and I wanted to leave you with one last tip. If you haven’t already purchased it, I would recommend getting Memory Maker. Memory Maker lets your runner get all the amazing Photo Pass pictures taken during the race, especially with all the characters. There is no better way to capture all of these magical memories.
Lauren, I hope you and your husband enjoy the race and have a magical time while at the Walt Disney World parks.
See ya real soon,
Robert
