Is it possible to modify an already purchased 4-day ticket to a 3-day ticket? The dates for the tickets is a over 30 days away.

Hello, Joanna, and welcome to planDisney.

I’m so happy to hear that you will be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort! A Disney Vacation is the perfect vacation in my eyes. The funny thing is, it wasn’t until my husband and I had our very own Mouseketeers that he agreed with me. Now, he’s all in when it comes to the planning process. His focus is on dining and resort options.

Walt Disney World theme park tickets are nontransferable and nonrefundable. While you can always upgrade your tickets to add additional days, unfortunately, there’s no way to downgrade your ticket or change your ticket from a 4-day ticket to a 3-day ticket.

The good news is, there are 4 different theme parks for you to explore and enjoy. I always recommend to my family and friends that at minimum, you’ll want a 4-day ticket so that you can enjoy one day in each of the theme parks. Additionally, this will also allow you to enjoy each day without the pressure of feeling rushed or having the fear of missing out on something. Since you do have that extra day in the parks, you might even want to consider a Character Dining experience

My family usually enjoys these meals on our "break day" so we will dine at a resort, outside of the theme parks. However, since you will be in the parks I recommend a late breakfast at Tusker House. The food is delicious and the company is even better!

Enjoy your trip, Joanna, and please let us know if there's or anything else we can help you plan for.

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
