Hi Richard,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for coming to me with your question. Mine is also a military family, and I’d like to extend my deepest gratitude for your - and your family's - service to our country.
I really appreciate that Walt Disney World offers so many
discounts and special offers to our military members. It’s such a wonderful place for family together time, and I know how very special that time is for our military families. To me, the
discounted Memory Maker is the pixie dust on top, because those photos are so important when loved ones are separated.
Richard, the military discounted Memory Maker must be purchased in person at a Walt Disney World Guest Relations window. Guests taking advantage of the discounted price must show valid military identification, and
Memory Maker will be linked to that Guest’s account. To my knowledge, the military discount cannot be applied to a purchase of Memory Maker after your visit, because of that ID requirement. Because policies can change, I highly recommend calling Walt Disney World Guest Relations at (407) 939-5277 just to double check, since saving money is always a good thing.
If your vacation has ended, and you’re
debating purchasing Memory Maker, I think it’s a great investment, even at full price. I love looking back through our family’s photos and reliving our magical memories, and for me, those photos are some of the very best souvenirs.
With magical wishes,
Robyn
