Will it be possible in May 2017 to see Fantastic and the Star Wars Galactic Spectacular on the same night?

Greetings, April! I see you share my affinity for Fireworks at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! I remember when the park opened and I saw Journey of the Little Mermaid for the first time! I was so excited when in recent years, Disney announced the addition of Fireworks over Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.

If you’re visiting in the evening, be sure to check showtimes for both Fantasmic and Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. While the Spectacular is currently running in early March at 7:45pm, it’s scheduled for as late as 9pm for certain dates in April. Times have not yet been released for your vacation in May, but keep your eyes peeled! Fantasmic is scheduled for 9pm in May, but once again, watch for current showtimes, as changes may not be announced.

Now, can you see both? Maybe, maybe not. When I was there in October, Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular ran for 14-15 minutes, and before we could brave the crowds and walk 10 minutes to be seated at Fantasmic, the show had already started. I was sad to have missed it. Fantasmic runs for about 30 minutes. If the shows were staggered enough apart, odds are good for you to book a FastPass+ to Fantasmic and enjoy both shows. But if the showtimes are too close, then you may have to return to see one or the other, which just means more fun in the park!

I hope you have a Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious time on your first Walt Disney World Resort vacation! ~Lindsey P.
