Is it possible to get a map of the transportation system before I get to Disney world. I am traveling alone with my 3 yo son with a stroller. I would prefer to review it and know what I'm doing before I get there. I don't want to waste time. Lol

    Hi Janine,

I love it that you want to be ready to enjoy every minute of your Walt Disney World vacation without wasting time figuring out how to be from Point A to Point B. I've got the perfect solution for you: the "Get Directions" feature on the My Disney Experience Mobile App.

You can use the feature to figure out the route from resorts to theme parks or from attraction to attraction within the parks. And, best of all, you can use it from your home to get a handle on the best routes when you get to Walt Disney World.

The travel time estimates in the app include an estimate of the time you will have to wait for a bus, monorail or boat.

The app feature is fairly new. It rolled out last fall and continues to evolve, but I've found that time and route approximations are pretty accurate.

One other tip, Janine: Because your son is young, you may find the guide for visiting Walt Disney World with little ones and preschoolers useful. It has a list of rides and attractions that are appropriate for little ones and other ideas for planning your trip.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Janine. I hope this helps with your planning, but please let us know if you have other questions about transportation, logistics or any other aspect of your Walt Disney World vacation. We love sharing our experiences to make other guests' visits more magical.

    Enjoy!
