Is it possible to locate ride photos after we have left the park? Some of them are missing from "photos" in the app.

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Brandy!

You are as welcome as can be here at planDisney. Thank you so much for stopping by with your question.  As someone who very recently had this same experience, where I needed to find an attraction photo that captured a magical memory of my family on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, I am just the Mouseketeer to help you today!

Brandy, you actually can retrieve photos after leaving the park. While I can't fully guarantee the Disney PhotoPass team will find it, there is a process for requesting it.  I did this back in June when our photo didn't appear in our My Disney Experience app.  It took a few days, but the photo team was able to locate it.

    You can follow these steps:
    • Go to your My Disney Experience app on your smartphone and click on the "hamburger" or the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner.
    • Click on the "Photos" tile.
    • Scroll all the way to the bottom and you will see a link that says "Get Disney PhotoPass Help." Select this link.
    • Read through the prompts to see if any of those help you locate your photos, but if they don't, the last one has a link to "Contact Disney PhotoPass Service."
    • Follow the steps to fill out this form and I recommend completing it with as much detail as possible.  It includes the date the photo(s) were taken, the time the photo was taken, type of photo (so in this case it would be the attraction you were riding) and then there is space for you to add as much detail as possible. I would suggest including any details like the clothing you were wearing, who was in front or back, any notable features about your family like hair color, etc.  This just helps them locate the pictures.
    • You can even upload an image of the people in your party to help the PhotoPass team.
    • Then, complete your contact information and if you have your MagicBand or MagicMobile pass ID, I would add that as well.  The more details you can provide the better.
As I mentioned above, you should receive a confirmation email and remember, even miracles take a little time. So, it may take a few days, but if they are able to locate your photos, you will get an email to confirm the status of your request. If they are able to locate your images, they will let you know if they have been added to your My Disney Experience account.

I will wish upon a star that your photos are found, Brandy!  If you have any further Disney planning questions, stop back here at planDisney and we will be so happy to help you.

    Magically Yours,
    Keri
