Magical greetings, Holly, and welcome to planDisney! I can't think of a better way to spend Christmas than at Walt Disney World. What a merry time you will have. Thanks for asking your question about gluten free dining. I'm happy to help!
When it comes to
food allergies and dietary needs, Disney does a great job making sure Guests are well cared for. This often starts before your trip begins. Menus for many restaurants are available on the
Walt Disney World website, and most of them have an allergy section at the bottom. If you don't find an allergy section for the restaurant you're interested in, that generally means you'll just need to talk to a Cast Member about your needs once you're there so they can discuss with you what modifications are possible. Then, once you receive your order, I recommend confirming once again that the item you were given is safe.
While there isn't a comprehensive list available, if you search for
gluten free on the Walt Disney World website, several restaurants will populate that feature gluten free items in the allergy section of their menus. This doesn't mean you won't be able to find more, but this does give you a starting point. For example,
Pecos Bills Tall Tale Inn and Cafe at Magic Kingdom has quite an extensive gluten free section on their
menu. Just out of curiosity, I took a look at
Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe, also at Magic Kingdom, and found a gluten free section on their
menu, too. So, if there's a place you're interested in eating, it's worth pulling up the menu and taking a look.
Holly, I hope your Christmas trip is extra merry and that you and your partner have a delicious time trying all the safe food. Please visit us again if you have any other questions we can help you with.
Grab hold of your dreams!
