Welcome to planDisney, Paula! Are you getting excited about your trip to Walt Disney World Resort next week? It's the perfect time to sort out all of those last-minute details, like ensuring that your My Disney Experience account is fully set up before you go, so let's chat about connecting with your party through the app so everyone can be included in planning decisions like
dining reservations and
Lightning Lane selections.
To connect to your travel party, open the
My Disney Experience app and tap on the main menu in the bottom right corner. Scroll down, select "My Profile," and toggle to the "Family & Friends List" tab at the top of the screen. You'll see a list of guests currently connected to you, and at the bottom of that list, you'll see a plus sign with the option to "Add a Guest." You can find the person you want to connect with by entering their name and age or scanning a link code if they happen to be nearby. This will send an invitation to their email, and once they have accepted your invitation to connect, they will appear in your connected family and friends list.
Once you are set up, your list of connected guests will populate every time you plan something that can include a group of people, like purchasing
Disney Genie+ service, making dining reservations, or joining the
Virtual Queue for select attractions. If you have any problems connecting to your travel party,
call the helpline for My Disney Experience, MagicBand, and MagicBand+, or stop by
Guest Relations when you are at Walt Disney World Resort next week and they'll help get you all set up.
