Is it possible to link two family groups who purchased their tickets separately so we can us the Disneyland App to order food for everyone, schedule Genie+ return times and make meal reservations as one group?

Hi there, Chad. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I always love helping other guests with their questions, but it's especially fun when I get to help out a fellow Oregonian. A trip to the Disneyland Resort is in your future so let's make sure you're all set for your magical visit.

You can absolutely link tickets from two family groups in the Disneyland app. In fact, I think it's a great idea and encourage it, especially if you're planning to use Disney Genie+ Service. As you've noted, you'll be able to secure the same return time for Lightning Lane selections for your entire party.

Linking tickets is easy. You'll tap on the ☰ icon to open the menu and then tap on the "Tickets and Passes" tile. Next, you'll tap on "+" in the top right corner followed by "Link Tickets & Passes." Finally, you can start adding all of the tickets to your app. I find using the "Camera" option to scan each ticket's barcode is the quickest and easiest. Voila, you're ready to go. Word on the street, Main Street, U.S.A. that is, is that you are only able to link a maximum of 10 tickets to one app. If your party is larger than this, I recommend having another person in your party link the remaining tickets to help manage the Lightning Lane selections.

It sounds like you're already a whiz when it comes to navigating the Disneyland app and I'm so glad you mentioned Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering. This feature is a game changer for me and ensures that no one ever gets to the hangry stage. You can use this feature to order for everyone, even if your tickets aren't linked in the app. Although, you might want some help carrying all of the trays of delicious food back to your table.

As far as reservations for table service locations go, I recommend making those as soon as possible. Advanced dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance of your arrival. A lot of the popular places (like Blue Bayou Restaurant) tend to book up quickly.

Before you go on your way, don't forget that with Disney Genie+ you also get unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital downloads from the day. So take some time to snap a few photos to remember your visit. I always like to ask for a Magic Shot or two as well and there are plenty to choose from right now at the Disneyland Resort.

Chad, I hope this helps as you get ready for your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. If there are any other questions swimming around and on your mind, please come back to ask us. Until then, I wish you happy planning!
