Is it possible to leave and re-enter the same park in the same day? I expect my son will need a nap mid day.

    Hi, Holly!

You can absolutely take a mid-day break and re-enter the park. In fact I highly recommend it!  Mid-day is the time the Disney theme parks are the most crowded and also the hottest (especially in the summer) so an afternoon siesta is just what the Mouse ordered!  You may return to the same park, or you can switch parks if you have the Park Hopper option.

My family loves our mid-day breaks. My kids are teens and have (unfortunately!) outgrown naps, but some pool time or just some down time in the room really makes a world of difference.  Also, we all spend so much time selecting the perfect resort, so it is nice to actually use the resort's amenities. We usually have an early dinner reservation, then spend the remainder of the evening enjoying the theme parks.

All too often, guests over-plan their days and fill them to capacity. Just remember that first and foremost, you are on vacation, so add in plenty of time to relax and unwind.  Ahh, I can almost feel the breeze through the palm trees as I lay pool side at one of the fabulous resorts. (But then the snow outside my window here in Ohio snaps me back to reality!)

Wishing you magical days in the parks and relaxing afternoons at your resort!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is sailing with Disney Cruise Line, running (or cheering!) at runDisney events, taking hula lessons at Aulani, or vacationing at the Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. I am proud to be a part of the planDisney team and cannot wait to share my tips and advice for a magical vacation
