Hey, howdy, hey, Ashly, and welcome to planDisney! Late nights at the Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks are my favorite; I think the magic just hits differently after the sun sets, as do the thrills! With the
Halfway to Halloween celebration in full gear, there's lots of talk about
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and other fall fun that will soon be materializing from somewhere beyond at the parks, so let's explore the possibilities of late-night opportunities for fall fun!
Currently,
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours are a perk offered to Guests staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort or Disney Deluxe Villa Resort. Typically, these events are hosted at EPCOT on Monday nights and Magic Kingdom Park on Wednesday nights, but these days and offerings are always subject to change. Looking back at last year's information, Extended Evening Theme Park hours were offered on select nights in September at both Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios, so it stands a chance they might be offered again this year. At this time, there are no Wednesday night Halloween parties at Magic Kingdom in September and the official
park calendar and operating hours are only updated through mid-July, so the best places to watch for announcements are on the calendar and on the
Disney Parks Blog as your dates draw near.
Disney After Hours events are another great opportunity to get some late-night extra park time; at this time, the events are only being offered at
Disney's Hollywood Studios on select dates through August 29. This seems to align with last year's dates, but without Madame Leota's crystal ball to help us out, we will just have to stay tuned for any future announcements or additional dates.
Ashly, I will be sending all the pixie dust your way that you get to spend a few extra magical hours at Disney's Hollywood Studios this fall!
Slinky Dog Dash and the glow of lightsabers in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge are two of my favorite things to experience in the dark of night! And we can't forget the frightening drop at the
Hollywood Tower Hotel that's even more spooky by the glow of the moon!
Here's to late-night fun and magical memories this fall,
Alison
