Hello there, Rebecca!
I must admit that I became Sleeping Beauty every time I tried watching TV on our most recent Disney Cruise Line vacation. There are so many fun activities and Port Adventures available that I would immediately pass out as soon as my head hit my pillow.
Rebecca, I’m happy to share that the televisions aboard the Disney Cruise Line ships offer some of
your favorite Disney movies, recent theatrical movies, popular TV networks, and other exclusive cruise channels. Please note that the channels are subject to satellite connectivity and local broadcast blackouts. I spent a bit of time watching specials about future Disney vacation offerings, which helped relieve our sadness the night before we disembarked the ship.
Aboard the Disney Magic, each stateroom comes equipped with a 22” LCD television with remote control. Standard earphones or headphones can be plugged into the stateroom TVs. Rebecca, I found that gaming units, Virtual Reality (VR) headsets, or video game consoles that require TV connections are not compatible with and cannot be connected to stateroom televisions (they are prohibited). Based on this information, I’d encourage you to watch the downloaded movies directly on the iPad rather than trying to connect it to the TV.
Rebecca, here’s a pro tip while you are hanging out in your stateroom: Disney Cruise Line offers 24 hours a day
complimentary room service, included in the price of your cruise. I always make sure to give the Cast Members who deliver our room service a tip for their great service. Like Disney’s Winnie the Pooh, this is such a fun and special treat if you are experiencing a “rumbly in [your] tumbly.”
May the magic be with you!Melanie
