Is it possible to go to Walt Disney and not get a dining package? Can you go to any restaurant even the specialty ones if you don't have a dining plan? Just trying to save some money. Thank you. Lisa

     Hi Lisa,

Absolutely! The Disney Dining Plans are fantastic, but they definitely aren't for everyone. In fact, more often than not, my family opts to forego the dining plan and we just pay for our meals out of pocket. In my opinion, the Disney Dining Plan enables you to easily budget for the dining piece of your vacation because you know exactly what it will cost you. However, by not getting the plan, you can choose to only book a few Advanced Dining Reservations for table service restaurants and you can enjoy quick service dining for the rest of your meals.

Regardless of whether or not you purchase a Disney Dining Plan, be sure to reserve your Advanced Dining Reservations 180-days prior to your vacation. The restaurants are very popular and they can fill up quickly.

    Wishing you magical memories,
