Hi Sarah!
Welcome back to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by with a great question about park hopping! What's better than visiting one Disney park? Visiting several in the same day!
Sarah, the
park hopper option allows you to enter and leave each of the four theme parks as many times as you'd like each day of your tickets. To make the most of your day, I'd recommend checking the
park hours closer to your arrival (they are usually posted about 60 days in advance) and starting at whichever park opens first. You do lose some time bussing back and forth between the parks, so if you can arrange your day to maybe start at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and then move to
Magic Kingdom Park (it's usually open later in the evenings), you won't lose as much time getting from place to place.
My family also likes to purchase
Disney Genie+ so we can spend less time waiting in lines for our favorite rides and attractions. Genie+ is available for purchase after midnight each day through your
My Disney Experience Mobile App. There is also an option available for use at multiple parks so you can pair it with your Park Hopper tickets and select Lightning Lane entries from all of the parks you plan on visiting that day.
Currently, TRON Lightcycle/Run offers a
Virtual Queue at Magic Kingdom. If you're hoping to ride this, you can try to join the virtual queue at 7:00 AM. Also, Tiana's Bayou Adventure is opening June 28, 2024 and we recently heard that a Virtual Queue as well as Genie+ Lightning Lane entry will be available for this new attraction. You can only join one Virtual Queue at a time so if both are available in October, you will likely need to prioritize which one your family wants to experience.
In addition, TRON Lightcycle/Run, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Flight of Passage also currently have
Individual Lightning Lanes available for purchase beginning at 7:00 AM. You may purchase an Individual Lightning Lane for up to two attractions each day. When you combine the phenomenal cosmic powers of Genie+ with Virtual Queues and Individual Lightning Lanes, you've unlocked a trio of ways to get the most out of your park day!
Sarah, I hope this helps as you continue planning for your vacation! If you're interested, you may also want to check dates and ticket availability for
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party to see if you can fit this into your visit as well. It's a night full of spook-tacular fun and certainly a highlight of the season! If you have any other questions, please stop by to
see me or any of my panelist pals again here at planDisney!
See ya real soon!
