Is it possible to take a friendship boat from Germany launch in Epcot to Hollywood Studios? The directions I see tell you to go to the international gate instead. I also want to make sure that Friendship Boats are available to guests of shades of green.

    Hello Natalie!

Welcome to planDisney! Transportation around the Parks is one of my favorite topics to discuss. I love how Walt Disney World Resort has so many complimentary transportation options.

Walt Disney World Water Transportation is one of the most relaxing modes of transportation. I feel like it's a mini version of a Disney Cruise. The boat that picks up Guests with a docking location around the Canada Pavilion and drops you off near the Morocco Pavilion makes continuous loops throughout the day until about an hour or more before Luminous The Symphony of Us. These boats do not take passengers out of EPCOT. If you want to head to Disney's Hollywood Studios from EPCOT you will have three options. All of the options require you to leave EPCOT through the International Gateway which is an exit of EPCOT located between the United Kingdom Pavilion and France Pavilion. It is at this spot that you will find signs guiding you to the Friendship boats that will leisurely take you to Disney's Hollywood Studios. You will also find it directly across the entrance to the Disney Skyliner. The Disney Skyliner is a smooth aerial jaunt that will take you to Disney's Rivera Resort and then Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. You will get off at this Resort and transform to the line that takes you to Disney's Hollywood Studios. There will be very clear signage and many Cast Members to assist. The total time for this gondola ride is about 15 minutes but it can be longer for various reasons. Do not take the Disney Skyliner if there is a chance for lightning in the area as it may stop running. The final option is something my planDisney panelist friend Lizzie loves and that is walking. You can walk from the International Gateway to Disney's Hollywood Studios in about 20 minutes. The path is scenic and paved!

Shades of Green has the following transportation options to get to the Parks.

    • To get to Magic Kingdom Park, guests will have to take the bus to the Ticket and Transportation Center and then take the Disney Monorail or Ferry to the Park.
    • To get to EPCOT you will be able to take a bus.
    • To get to Disney's Hollywood Studios there is a bus.
    • To get to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park there is also a bus!
There does not appear to be any Friendship Boat connected to Shades of Green directly. However, if you wish to take the water transportation to the Parks from the International Gateway know that it's complimentary to all Guests visiting the Parks!

When visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios make sure to say a muppet farewell to Kermit and the gang by enjoying Muppet*Vision 3D! The Muppets will be closing down their performance and moving to Rock 'n' Roller Coaster! It is the end of an era and the beginning of a rockin' new one!

I hope that this helps and you make it to all of your destinations in the most magical way!

    Happy Planning!
