Is it possible to fit two wheelchairs into a gondola on the skyline if 1 or both of them are folded? There are only 2 of us in our party and we don't really want to have to travel alone. The wheelchairs fold quite small, smaller than some pushchairs.

    Hi Ethan!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I'm happy to help!

One of the best things about a visit to Walt Disney World Resort is the availability of free transportation within the resort. Whether you choose to travel by monorail, watercraft, bus, or Disney Skyliner gondola, Disney makes it easy to get where you need to go!

The Disney Skyliner is one of my favorite ways to travel on a Disney vacation. There's nothing better than soaring through the skies with a bird's-eye view of the parks and resorts! As a family that travels with a guest who uses a wheelchair, the Skyliners are one of the easiest modes of transportation for us.

It is possible to fit two folded wheelchairs into a Disney Skyliner gondola! The Disney Skyliner gondolas are designed to be accessible and can comfortably accommodate multiple guests, including those with mobility devices. When wheelchairs are folded, taking up less space, it should easily allow you to travel together.

Each gondola typically fits up to 10 guests, or up to 6 guests with a wheelchair. With just the two of you and the wheelchairs folded, there will be plenty of room. The Skyliner stations have a special boarding area for guests using wheelchairs or other mobility devices, making boarding and disembarking easier and safer with a slower-moving gondola.

Cast Members are available to assist with boarding and can help store folded wheelchairs inside the gondola. With fewer guests, you'll have more space to store your folded wheelchairs comfortably and enjoy the scenic ride. Just let the Cast Members know about your specific needs when you arrive at the Skyliner station, and they'll ensure you have a smooth and magical journey. Enjoy your flight over Walt Disney World and the beautiful views from above!
