Is it possible to drive and park to visit Disney Boardwalk in July 2022 without a reservation? We want to take a morning stroll and then rent a boat or get lunch once they open but we do not want to commit to a certain restaurant. If so, what time is Open?

Hi Terry! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by and sending your questions our way!

I like the way you think! Your plans sound like the perfect way to spend the day at Disney's BoardWalk while taking in all that it has to offer! I'm happy to say that complimentary standard self-parking is available when you are enjoying select dining, shopping, entertainment, and recreation experiences at Disney Resort Hotels. Because I especially love the Disney Resorts Collection Hotels in this area, I have some information to help with your planning!

A morning stroll around Crescent Lake is a great way to start your day and if you wish to rent a boat, you can walk over to Disney's Yacht Club Resort to Bayside Marina. The marina is currently open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for boat rentals. You can rent a Sun Tracker Pontoon boat for 30 or 60 minutes. Having cruised around Crescent Lake in a pontoon boat, I can assure you that it's such a relaxing experience!

As you are planning to have lunch, you can find the dining locations at Disney's BoardWalk here and at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts here. Also, Disney Parks on Instagram just announced that the BoardWalk Bakery is changing to the BoardWalk Deli. If you want an especially unique experience, you could order sandwiches to-go and have a picnic on Crescent Lake while you are enjoying the boat rental. The areas on the water near EPCOT are very picturesque and might provide a bit of shade compared to the open water near the BoardWalk. If you decide that you prefer to dine at one of the dining locations in the area, most restaurants open for lunch at 11:00. Some locations have a walk-up list that you can join using the My Disney Experience app and this is a great option for you since you don't want to commit to a particular restaurant prior to your arrival.

I hope this information helps with your planning! If you have more questions, feel free to send them to me at planDisney

    Happy Planning!
    Smiles,
