Is it possible to make a dining reservation and then decrease the number in the party if not everyone can attend? Would the reservation have to be cancelled?

    Welcome back, Frank!

There have been several times while planning my own Advanced Dining Reservations that I later needed to go back and modify the number in my party for various reasons. The big tip I have, should you need to modify, is that you can always decrease the number of guests in your party much easier than it is to add guests, especially for the high-demand dining locations.

Another tip is to call and modify the number in your party as soon as you have a final headcount. This servers as a courtesy for the restaurant in an effort to reassign tables based on guests' needs. When you're ready to make any reservation modifications, you can do so by calling 1-407-WDW-DINE. However, should you show up a few vacationers short of your original reservation, it will be ok, you do not need to start over with your reservations.

I hope this helps, Frank! Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any additional questions you may have. I am here to help!
