Hiya Lauren! Welcome back to planDisney! Since we were on the topic of the Disney Dining Credit in your last question, let's jump right into your next one relating to it as well!
Upon arrival at the
Walt Disney World Resort, you will receive your Dining Promo Card that you will use for payment at over 250 dining locations across the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs. This will be emailed to you digitally and you can use the barcode sent to present as payment. These cards are redeemable on food, drinks, and gratuities, so you will have the option to use it for tipping. I would suggest bringing cash with you in the event that you do not have enough left over for a gratuity.
It's also a great idea to carry cash for tipping at other places around the Resort. These scenarios include valeting a rental car, having bell services bring your luggage to your room, or even having room service delivered. Each of these services is the perfect time to show Cast Members your appreciation for their excellent service!
Lauren, in just a few short days, you'll be arriving in time to not only take part in the
50th Anniversary Celebration but begin the holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort! Christmas is upon us, which means the return of
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party to the Magic Kingdom. This special ticketed event is held on select nights throughout November and December. There will also be magical holiday displays set up at many of the Disney Resorts Hotels to check out during your stay.
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has a life-size gingerbread house set up in the main lobby that is a must-see while you are there!
Have an amazing time, Lauren!
See ya real soon!
